As a New Hampshire photographer, I love finding new locations to take my couples and families for their sessions. Adventure photo sessions are my favorite thing! So I’m extra excited to share this forest photoshoot today on the blog because it was at one of my new favorite locations.
A Forest Photoshoot in New Hampshire
Last summer, I wanted to try out a new location for a couples photoshoot that I had recently discovered. Paige and Justin live in the area, and were willing to come along and test the location with me!
We headed to Bear Brook State Park in southeastern New Hampshire. I knew I wanted to stop at a particular spot because I had a vision with the patch of ferns and the log that was lying across the river. It was so fun to bring this vision to life! It was a nice hot July evening and golden hour was shimmering through the thick forest. It was pure magic.
And Paige and Justin were beyond willing participants, they made the adventure so much fun! They also came dressed perfectly for the vision. Their outfits were casual and effortlessly cool.
I love doing “just for fun” couples photoshoots - there is absolutely ZERO pressure, and we can relax and just have a great time together while taking beautiful photos! Bear Brook State Park
If you’ve never been to Bear Brook State Park, I definitely recommend checking it out! It’s now officially included in my New Hampshire photo location guide.
It’s located in Allenstown, NH, which is super close to Concord, not far from Manchester, and not even a bad drive from Massachusetts! Being in the southeastern part of the state it’s pretty centrally located and easy to get to. It’s a great spot for both day use and camping, and they have excellent hiking, biking, fishing, and swimming. Now that the summer is coming, definitely check it out!
