New Hampshire Barn Wedding

Today I’m sharing one of my favorite weddings from last summer - Abby and Chris! This New Hampshire barn wedding at the Barn on the Pemi in Plymouth was an absolute BLAST.

A + C are so much fun, and so was their entire day! If you’re looking for barn wedding inspiration, definitely keep reading!

A Summer New Hampshire Barn Wedding

When I first met Abby and Chris, they shared with me that they have a long history together, so it was extra special to be a part of their wedding day! Before getting married, they had been friends for 14 years, and dating for 7! They had such a sweet bond and were so much fun to be around. They currently live in Portland, Maine, but the White Mountains in NH had been an integral part of their history, so naturally they chose this location for their wedding! The Barn on the Pemi is one of my all-time favorite New Hampshire wedding venues, so I was super excited to capture Abby + Chris’s day there.

The day began mid-afternoon with Abby arriving at the Barn by trolley. Abby and Chris opted to have a first look before the ceremony, which always makes for a sweet private moment for the couple. It’s a great chance to really soak in what is about to take place! From there, we captured both the wedding party portraits and family portraits before the start of the ceremony. I find that a lot of my couples opt for a timeline like this as it allows you to fully enjoy cocktail hour and the reception as soon as they begin.

After we finished with portrait photos, guests began to arrive for the 5 o’clock ceremony. Abby + Chris held their ceremony inside the Barn on the Pemi’s greenhouse, which is a spectacular backdrop for wedding ceremonies. The setting is absolutely gorgeous! The color palette that they chose worked perfectly in the space too. Their wedding party wore varying shades of green, and Abby and her bridesmaids’ bouquets were elegant white flowers with greenery. And Abby’s elegant, off-the-shoulder gown with a long train and veil completely stole the show!

Next, cocktail hour took place immediately following the ceremony right outside the greenhouse. And then finally, it was time for the reception! The Barn on the Pemi is the perfect reception space if you’re looking for rustic yet elegant wedding vibes in New Hampshire. The classic barn setup has such a rustic charm to it. During A + C’s reception, guests enjoyed dinner, heartfelt toasts, and dancing. They really did an amazing job putting together a team of vendors who fit their vision perfectly, including the DJ in particular! Greg from NRG Entertainment was absolutely perfect for their crowd and had everyone on the dancefloor the entire night. It couldn’t have been more fun!
